Set a master iPad
Before starting, log in to the back office. Select "Settings" then "Devices" and disconnect any existing paired devices.
Log in to the POS Pro app on the iPad you want to use as your main iPad.
Select "iPad - (Master)" when prompted to pair an available licence. This will only appear if unpaired licences are available.
Ensure any connected printers are only connected to the master iPad. Connect new printers to the master iPad to sync all orders from one place.
Your entire POS Pro setup will now synchronise via the master iPad. It’s therefore essential that the master iPad is powered and available at all times to avoid interruptions.
Add and synchronise more iPads
Ensure your POS Pro app and iOS software are fully updated on all the iPads you’ll use.
Log in to each additional iPad you want to connect.
Pair your iPad to an available licence. This option will only appear if unpaired licences are available. Don’t connect to the master iPad licence.
Connect card readers to each iPad you want to accept card payments with as well as connecting other hardware, such as scanners. Tills can be opened and closed from the master iPad and orders will sync across all your linked devices.
Check all your iPads have permission to access Bluetooth and local network connections in your iPad settings.
