Set up hardware
On the POS Pro app, tap "Back Office" in the left navigation bar and log in.
Expand the "Settings" menu in the left navigation bar and choose "Modules".
Select "Order taking settings" then find and enable the "Barcode scanning" toggle.
Turn your scanner on.
Minimise the POS Pro app and open the iPad settings menu.
Open the Bluetooth menu then find and select your barcode scanner to connect.
Go to the "General" tab in the iPad settings.
Select "Keyboard" then "Keyboards".
Use "Add New Keyboard…" to add the US English keyboard, then remove any other added keyboards.
Scan the factory reset barcode below (1) then the HID-Keyboard barcode (2). The scanner will beep to confirm its configuration.
On the POS Pro app, exit the back office and click the sync button in the top right corner.
Select "Settings" and ensure the barcode keyboard layout is set to "English QWERTY".
A barcode will appear, scan it with your barcode scanner to complete setup.
You can add barcode numbers for the things you sell when adding products to your product catalogue or by editing existing products.
Once your hardware is fully set up, you can start customising your POS Pro setup to choose which features you want to use.
