Add items
On the POS Pro app, tap “Back Office” in the left navigation bar and log in.
Expand the “Products” menu in the left navigation bar then select “Products”.
Tap “New product” to create a new product.
Add item details, such as a name, pricing and tax rates. See below for more information.
Tap “Add” to save the new product.
To edit or delete products later, simply open your product section again and select the item you want to change or remove.
Customise items
Name your product and provide a short description. This description will be shown on the app and the digital menu.
If you’ve set up a barcode scanner, you can add a barcode number for products so they’re recognised by your scanner.
Enter an SKU number to identify your product while tracking stock levels. You can activate stock tracking for individual products using the stock checkbox further down.
Create product categories then add your items to them to help organise your checkout screen. Product categories can also be used to set default printers for particular product types.
Enter a price for your product and also a purchase cost for reporting purposes. If you create multiple menus for your setup, you can add unique product prices for each menu.
You can also add different tax rates for a product.
You can create optional extras that can be selected for a product at checkout.
Select “Add an option” to enable optional extras.
Choose the categories extras can be chosen from.
Check the “Automatic pop-up” box to decide if optional extras should pop up automatically or have to be manually opened.
Choose how many optional extras can be added:
Unlimited - select as many extras as desired
Unique - only one extra can be selected at checkout
Limited - set a specific limit on the number of extras available
Add a name and description to be shown on digital menus for online order integrations. Select “Enable on the kiosk” to make the product visible on the digital menu.
Upload a single image to represent your product at checkout and on the digital menu. The recommended format is JPEG to 1920x1080px and the max file size is 4MB.
Once created, you can open a till to start taking orders or set up online ordering to accept takeaway orders.
